ZAIMELLA HAS SUSTAINABLE SOCIAL SENSITIVITY
A) Sustainable, because it has found an extraordinary way to improve the quality of its diapers in a stable and permanent manner..

Mother Test Project:
For a diaper manufacturing company, the concern for the quality of its products and the permanent improvement that its products must undergo becomes an intricate task that represents one of the most significant challenges for the company. It is not easy to observe how baby diapers work, to test the effectiveness of each improvement and to verify the correct performance of the product. Each size constitutes a different product; the ergonomics of the baby's body plays an important role. A different kind of performance is required during the day and during the night, in cold and warm, humid or dry weather, the use of the diaper is different in the case of baby boys and baby girls.
Traditional laboratory tests make it impossible to simulate and represent so many real life situations. Depending on honest feedback from family and friends proved to be unreliable and unsustainable. This is why it was imperative to find a permanent and reliable mechanism to obtain timely and accurate information. This information is useful to quantify the performance of the products and to develop new improvements faster, in order to keep up with the pace set by the highly competitive international market where Zaimella's diapers are commercialized.

This need fitted perfectly within the framework of the socially sustainable project that the company shaped. Within the scope of this project, Zaimella developed agreements with institutions devoted to the care of the company's target clients: orphanages and daycare centers.

San Vicente de Paul Orphanage:
One of the Company's most effective decisions that have generated significant improvements in the quality of its products is the agreement with the orphanage San Vicente de Paul.
This has provided Zaimella with a live, real-time quality laboratory in the cradle area of the orphanage, where a stable average of 30 babies are housed. Consequently, it is possible to directly observe the performance and functioning of all the products.

It was agreed to have a Nurse/Laboratory Analyst every day, 24 hours a day, in order to identify and study the effectiveness of the diapers. Each day, thirty babies benefit from professional care, free disposable diapers and hygiene products in a stable manner throughout the whole year; as a result, the company improves the quality of its products by means of thorough observation and constant testing in the design and composition of its diapers

The story does not end with the free delivery of products. The benefit for the company is so significant, that it signed a new agreement to provide the orphanage with a fixed, monthly supply to cover the medicinal needs of approximately 100 children that live in this institution.

Furthermore, the company now provides first class private transportation in order for the children to be able to attend more specialized schools for orphan children. also solving the security and control problems that the children faced daily when they had to walk to and from school. The lack of transportation, did not permit this before.  Finally, within this agreement, the company makes an annual investment to paint, refurbish and maintain all the facilities of this children’s center.
Sister Emma, the Director of this Center, is very pleased because she entered into a fantastic agreement from her institution´s point of view; she found a way to stop the dependency on unstable donations and the institution now receives a fixed income that covers unexpected daily expenses. The company, on its side, has taken an important step in the continuous improvement of the quality of its products, a vital element for its growth, which would not have been possible otherwise.

B) Sustainable because it has found a new and effective way to position its products brands.

C) Sustainable because it has found a new and effective way to make the diaper category grow countrywide and position its products in the informal market.
